Tribune Entertainment’s American Idol Rewind—the syndicated one-hour, weekend series—has been cleared in 96 markets, representing more than 80% of the country.
American Idol Rewind, from FremantleMedia North America and 19 Entertainment, will premiere in September and will feature new footage and behind-the-scenes details.
Tribune Entertainment also announced renewals for an eighth season of game show Family Feud, also from FremantleMedia North America, as well as a fourth season in syndication of the educational/informational DIC Kids’ Network.
Family Feud has been cleared in 48 of the top 50 markets, covering 85% of the country. The lineup again includes stations from Fox, Viacom, Sinclair, Tribune, Weigel, Sunbeam, Linn, Cox, and Meredith broadcast groups.
DIC Kids’ Network has been cleared in more than 80% of the country, on such station groups as Tribune Broadcasting, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Granite Broadcasting and Belo Corporation. The DIC Kids’ Network is the FCC-friendly three-hour block of highly competitive animated entertainment for children. It consists of 10 educational and informational series that include Trollz, Strawberry Shortcake, Berenstain Bears, Archie’s Weird Mysteries, Stargate Infinity and several others.
