Tribune Entertainment said today at NATPE that it has cleared American Idol Rewind in two-thirds of the country.
Tribune Broadcasting is helping out its corporate cousin, agreeing to broadcast the hour repackage of the popular reality series in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Sacramento. Sinclair has picked it up for stations in Pittsburgh; Columbus, Ohio; and San Antonio, Tex. Fox O&Os will be airing it in Detroit, Cleveland, Minneapolis and Phoenix.
“In less than one week since Tribune began offering the series in syndication, we have been able to secure clearances in 24 or the top 25 markets,” said Dick Askin, president and CEO of Tribune Entertainment.
The show is set to debut this fall.
