Belo to supply content to Weathernews

Belo Corp. television stations will supply news and information to Weathernews for delivery to subscriber’s cell phones.

The Weathernews WNI Network  delivers personalized local video programming for weather, news, sports and traffic to subscribers’ cell phones. Local content from some Belo television stations will be available through WNI’s “LiveLocal” mobile application offered on major U.S. wireless carriers for $4.99 per month.

Belo stations in Dallas, Houston, Seattle/Tacoma and Phoenix will be part of the initial rollout in early 2006, with stations in other Belo markets to follow.
